My child needs an ID for traveling; do you provide this service?
We provide child IDs to our community at our annual Child ID and Safety Day held each spring. Notices of the exact date are sent to the schools for each child to bring home. These IDs are to be used as emergency information sources only, however, and are not valid as an official form of identification.

Can you provide me with the crime statistics for an area?
Just call 732-329-4000 ext. 7496 and advise the secretary of your specific request. A member of the Community Policing Division will return your call with the information you are requesting.

Can I join the South Brunswick Citizens Police Academy?
Applicants for future classes must live or work in the township and be at least 18 years of age to attend the academy. Call 732-329-4000 ext. 7496 for an academy application as well as the next academy start date.

Can I start a Neighborhood Watch group in my neighborhood?
The South Brunswick Police Department is always looking for new Neighborhood Watch Members and Neighborhood Watch Groups. Call our office at 732-329-4000 ext. 7496 for more information. An officer will help you get started and assist you in running your first meeting.

Can Boy/Girl Scout troops have a tour of the police department?
Tours of Police Headquarters can be arranged by calling 732-329-4000 ext. 7496. It would be appreciated if you would have several dates available when calling, to better accommodate you.

What is the SAFE Program at school?
S.A.F.E. (Substance Awareness For Empowerment) is a collaborative effort by SAFE Program certified police officers, educators, students, parents and the community to offer an educational program in the classroom to prevent or reduce drug abuse and violence.

What can I do to make my home more secure?
