Public Relations

Our Public Relations specialist (Public Affairs Coordinator) is responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with our residents as well as our busineses community, the media, and other key stakeholders here in our Township. Common responsibilities include designing communications campaigns, writing news releases and other content for news, working with the press, arranging interviews for Township leaders, acting as our organization's spokesperson, preparing for press conferences, media interviews and speeches, writing of grants, website and social media content, managing internal communications, and marketing activities.

Success in the field of public relations requires a deep understanding of the interests and concerns of all of our residents and their many concerns. The public relations professional must know how to effectively address those concerns or pocess the knowledge of who best to address a community member’s concerns.
